How is a biodynamic craniosacral therapy treatment?

During a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy treatment session the client typically lies or sits on a treatment table fully clothed. The practitioner will use a very light touch to “listen” to the body’s intrinsic movements.

The practitioner will often begin the session by placing their hands lightly on the client’s feet. From here the subtle movements and patterns of restrictions and ease may be felt. The practitioner may then move to other areas of the body, often to the sacrum at the base of the spine or to the shoulders or head. In “biodynamic” work the practitioner does not manipulate or adjust bones or tissue.

Throughout the session the client may feel a range of sensations such as tingling, buzzing, feelings of hot or cold. Sometimes the client may feel small movements or adjustments taking place, or sometimes, the client may feel nothing. Often a client will experience a deep sense of calm and relaxation or may sleep deeply. Any or all of the above is normal and welcomed as part of the healing process.

March 2019,

I have known Tracey for many years and have been attending her Yoga classes as long as she has been teaching. I have found over the years that not only do I stay limber I stay grounded. If I attend 2 classes per week, I do not have many issues :-)

I first started seeing Tracey for Craniosacral Therapy after a shoulder injury. I saw my Dr. and was told it was a frozen shoulder. I was in constant pain, the strength in the arm was diminishing. Within 3 treatments my shoulder pain was reduced, and my mobility had improved both by 50-60%. With in 5 treatments my strength had significantly improved. Along with my “Frozen Shoulder Journey” I have had some very positive life changing and emotional healing. Since then, my Dad was diagnosed and died from Cancer and I found Craniosacral Therapy and Yoga of great emotional help, working through the many stages of grief. I will continue to have Craniosacral sessions as I believe this therapy helps us heal on all levels.

Thank you, Tracey, for all you have helped me with. Namaste
